DANCE PROGRAM From 2014 to 2016, Laurel was the Dance Teacher at St. James Episcopal School in Los Angeles, CA. She designed and implemented a year-long dance curriculum comprised of three strands - creative movement and kinesthetic expression, standards-based academic curriculum integration, and choreography development, memorization, and performance – in collaboration with classroom teachers, school-wide personnel, and student creative input. She taught and facilitated dance and movement experiences for all grade levels K-6 in a variety of disciplines and genres, and oversaw the choreography and production of the end-of-year dance performance. |
